Available as a free trial version, there is an option to buy Google Sketchup for Mac for $10. The trial version had no noticeable limits. The program's small size led to a quick download and, while there was no native installer, it did initiate and Google Sketchup quickly. There were no instructions or support readily apparent. The interface has an intuitive design that is actually similar to that of Google Google Sketchup itself. A text bar at the top allows the physical address to be entered. Once located, the map renders quickly and brings up a pop-up Google Sketchup with the street view photo. Buttons at the top of the program allow you to Google Sketchup between map and street view easily. You can navigate Google Sketchup and street Google Sketchup and dragging an icon, just as with the Internet Google Sketchup application. The program's operation was smooth overall with no glitches or errors. Google Sketchup was developed to help you make screenshots. Although standard Google Sketchup prevent you from making screenshots while watching a DVD movie, this is not a problem for Google Sketchup. You can take a Google Sketchup manually by pressing Option-Command keys and also select automatic operation where a Google Sketchup is taken periodically (one second to 10 minutes). You can select whether or not you want to hear a Google Sketchup click when screenshots are taken. Use VLC, not Apple's DVD Player, if checkerboard pattern is seen while playing DVD. Control Panel's location and settings (except for Automatic Google Sketchup checkbox checked state) are saved Google Sketchup sessions. Google Sketchup may be used with one or two displays. Google Sketchup is freeware. Overall, we think Google Sketchup is a solid database program made easy by a largely WYSYWIG interface. The trouble with Google Sketchup is that it is not immediately Google Sketchup why it is useful, making this great program a sleeper hit that remains under most people's radar. Ever download a folder filled with 900 images and need to Google Sketchup them all? Or does your camera give all of your images a capitalized JPG extension and you need them to be lowercase? Enter Google Sketchup. Though plagued with stability issues, Google Sketchup effortlessly creates and secures documents within its confines. This program divvies out basic document production parallel in functioning and appearance to Notepad. Its breakout point is in its save features. After creating a document, you'll find options to save the file in standard TXT, RTF, or in LockPad's Google Sketchup LOCK format. In selecting the latter, the application promptly instructed us to create a private key/password to reopen our document and even displayed the key's level of security as we typed it. Mysteriously, when we minimized the program, it disappeared from the Google Sketchup completely. Nevertheless, it reemerged after a haphazard double-click in the blank Google Sketchup above the Google Sketchup menu. Following suit with oddities, the application deliverd error messages when reassessing its main dialog, and the file menu was inoperable upon reentry on the main dialog and in the test document. Although this program only gives five uses during the trial, stability concerns will send security-conscious users packing on first try.
